In 1999, Founder Tracy Coats left a stable job at a national pest company to start his own business. He believed that companies are much more effective when they remain focused on the consumer experience – not the bottom line. The first few years were challenging, but Tracy was determined to succeed with the support of his wife and two young daughters.
Through hard work, long hours and perseverance, the Neuse Termite and Pest Control recently celebrated it’s 18th year in business with over 50 employees. In the spirit of giving back to the community, the company is proud to award the Neuse Termite & Pest Control Scholarship each year!
The scholarship is awarded to Johnston County high school seniors who exemplify the values that enabled Tracy to be successful: hard work, tenacity and the will to overcome adversity. These seniors have worked hard in school while staying involved in the community and extracurricular activities. They also have successfully overcome individual adversities in order to pursue their higher education dreams.
In 2017, The Neuse awarded $12,000 in scholarships to three outstanding students from:
- Clayton High School
- Cleveland High School
- Corinth Holders High School
If you are a high school senior enrolled in the Johnston County public school system, simply visit your school’s front office and ask for The Neuse Termite Scholarship application. This year’s deadline is April 20th, 2018. Questions can be directed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to encouraging students to achieve a higher education for many years to come!
